One of the most inspiring things about building Freedom is hearing about what you’ve created with Freedom. Your books, movies, TV scripts, podcasts, research, entrepreneurial ventures – and so much more – keep us coming to work every day. We’re incredibly proud to be a small part of your amazing creations.
Over the past few months, we’ve had time to think about what kind of company and product we want Freedom to be. And we want Freedom to be as inspiring as the work you create. This begins with simple, good principles like having a clear revenue model and never engaging in icky practices like sharing data. It continues by focusing on your happiness with a larger customer support team (welcome, Tanajah!) and expanded hours. And it involves ensuring that we’re not partnering with companies that don’t share our values. For this reason, a number of months ago we ceased advertising on Facebook and Facebook properties.
When thinking about where our (modest) advertising budget could go, we thought about our amazing community of creators. There’s no better recommendation than one from a Freedom user, and if we can help support the creative work you are doing, it’s a win-win.
So here’s our ask: If you’re working on a creative project like a podcast, newsletter, or something similar, please reach out to us! We’d love to consider supporting it by buying ad space.
